Apple Busakorn

  

A native Thai who started her passion after graduating from Architecture and Design School, Harvard University. While she was working as a facilities strategic planner in the design firm in New York, she was also busy dancing, teaching and performing Salsa in different venues in New York. Trained with all top master teachers in NYC for over 12 years such as Eddie Torres, Delille Thomas, Carlos Konig, Jimmy Anton, Frankie Martinez, Santo Rico, Karisma, Duplessy Walker, Amaryllis Cintron, Piniel (Afro-Hatian), Richard Gonzalez (Afro-Caribbean) and especially with Aochan Nagamoto from Tropical NY, later Apple expanded her horizon to Bellydance, Argentine Tango, Zouk, Samba de Gafieira, Swing, Striptease and Pole Dance.

Apple founded Salsabangkok.com website in 1999 to connect Salsa information from NYC to her hometown. She finally moved back in 2005 and created the 1st Salsabangkok Fiesta (SBF) aiming to unite Salsa community in Bangkok where she has invited Joschi and Aoy to be on board. Now SBF has become the longest running Salsa festival in S.E. Asia and it keeps going strong.

Currently she is the artistic director of rumPUREE – world dance studio with 2 locations in Bangkok. Apple also organizes Dance the World in One Day, rumPUREE’s studio showcase and Raks Siam Oriental, Thailand’s international Oriental Dance Festival. Her hobby is a data and information technology consultant to help business improve operational management.
